My experience with UX also goes to creating software, it was my daily basis when working at SAP. The process went something like this:

THE PROPOSAL -
I was allocated in two different projects as a UX designer, one was for optimizing invoices for a particular customer and the other one was to create a flow so electricity companies could be on track with all clients and be sure they were paying their bills correctly.

HANDS ON -
As I was part of the teams, I'd participate in the daily meetings and work closely to a UX researcher, we then would talk to the customer and align expectations and requirements. After having all the information needed, I'd create the first version of the software to show the project managers within my teams.

CHALLENGE -
The biggest challenge here was to understand the customer business, all of them had their particularity, so I had to really gather information, study and specially test within the target audience if the user journey I had just created made sense for them as end users.

EFFICIENCY -
As I went through all processes mentioned above, I would then deliver high fidelity prototypes as some of the ones you can see bellow.
